CARIDEA CAUDA CHAIR

1/5″ Masonite, 1/2″ Music Wire/Rod, Laser Cutter, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Drill Press, Epoxy Glue

CHAIR PROJECT – design a laser cut chair that only uses one sheet of 48×48″ material

Caridea Cauda Chair - a design inspired by the intricate beauty of a shrimp's tail. This unique stool seamlessly combines functionality with aesthetic appeal. The stool is characterized by its folding mechanism, reminiscent of the movement of a shrimp's tail. This foldable stool opens and closes effortlessly, allowing it to collapse flat for convenient storage or double as a decorative wall piece when not in use.

This folding feature adds an extra layer of adaptability, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a space-saving seating option without compromising on aesthetics. With two different height options, users can choose their preferred seating position, catering to various needs and preferences. The stool comes assembled and easily can be assembled/disassembled with three steel pins, ensuring stability and reliability.
